Growing up in Northern California, I was fortunate enough to visit Lake Tahoe quite frequently. Now that I live in San Francisco, I don’t get to travel there as much as I’d like, but I try to escape into the mountains as often as I can — especially when it’s snowing. Last month, Tyler and I drove up US 50 towards Stateline and spent a couple of days in South Lake Tahoe. On the first day, we walked along Lakeside Beach, enjoyed happy hour at The Coachman Hotel, and watched the sunset at 19 Kitchen & Bar located in Harvey’s Casino. The next day we played in the snow at Spooner Lake and ended the trip with breakfast at Bear Beach Cafe.
Have you been to South Lake Tahoe? What’s your favorite thing to do there?
